Whitewater Recollects: Town & Gown To help celebrate the 150th anniversary of the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, the Whitewater Historical Society is hosting a panel-led discussion about the long-standing relationship between UWW and the town of Whitewater. Attendees will hear from a panel of long-time “townies” and university folk, and everyone will be able to share their stories and memories of the evolving alliances, benefits, traditions, and challenges arising between “town” and “gown” from the 1950s to today. And those of us whose memories aren’t so long will have a chance to learn about the development of this key relationship in Whitewater history. The program will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the Cravath Lakefront Community Center at 341 S. Fremont Street, Whitewater, WI. Come reminisce with us – or learn what you missed! Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
